From Satanic Greens to Deliciousness

Kids, let me tell you about the Devil/Satan. They like to eat salads. Just kidding… Only kind of.

Growing up, there were very few scenarios in which we would eat uncooked greens. Hm… I can’t think of any right now.

As you know, Daddy thinks that food is beautiful and that most food can be made in an appetizing way. Whether it is a salad or pork intestines, there is a way of eating it that is pleasing. You just have to be a little creative and have a little fun with it. And sometimes you have to pay someone to show you the way. Before eating salads from Mendocino Farms, salads tasted like the devil’s work to me. Why would people torture themselves by eating grass, essentially?

Mendocino showed me that you can play with food to make food both healthy and delicious. Fruits, cheeses, nuts, sauces, and meat all offer combinations that may lead to deliciousness.

The following are salads that Daddy approves of:

  • Fruit salads
  • Apple, mango, and avocado salad
  • Most salads from Mendocino Farms, such as their taco salad
  • Beet and Goat Cheese salad
  • Caesar salad
  • Ceviche
  • Sweet potato salad

You too can transform satanic food into deliciousness. Yes, Niece #1, eat that sweet potato salad. Maybe add a little honey to it. YUM….

While my feelings of green salads are less certain, egg salad and coleslaw are definitely by the devil. More on that another time.
